Melinda has been caring for my cats when I travel for 12+ years.  She welcomes the company when they want to sleep on/with her (lol). She understands their finicky nature and feeds them accordingly, even if it means having 3 cans open at a time. She takes care of the litter box, which can be a big chore with multiple cats, and maintains my apartment, too. She picks up mail and packages, takes out trash and recyclables, and sends the laundry out when she leaves. I know I don’t have to worry about my angels when she is there. My only concern was that, based on the video she sent of my cat snuggling with her, he might not care if I come home at all!

I couldn't have asked for a better sitter for my cat, Juju. Melinda treated Juju like he was her own cherished pet, and he responded to her in kind. Melinda was an incredible sitter and took really good care of my Trixie! There were lots of challenges on arrival (outside of Melinda’s control) and she kept me updated on her progress and made sure she arrived to look after Trix (cancelled flights, weather delays, nothing was stopping this woman!!!) During the sit, she sent me pictures and updates on Trix to reassure me my baby was being well cared for and loved. Trix loves the beach and Melinda braved rain and wind to ensure Trix got her daily fix!!

Plus, my house was spotless when I returned!

Melinda was great! She cared for our two boys for ten days while we traveled throughout Asia. She arrived early on the day of our departure to meet the pups and review the house info. Despite the 13-hour time difference, she was very communicative and responsive. The pics she sent showed the dogs cuddling with her, so I know they enjoyed her company! She even made some extra dog food when it ran out before we returned. We came back to a tidy house and well-cared-for dogs.

I'm an animal lover, watercolor artist, and pattern designer for home products.  

I have 20+ years of experience caring for animals and have shared my life with a variety of beloved pets— from my childhood cat, Angel, to a Westie named Misty, a dwarf parrot named Oliver, and even a rescued sparrow named Chirpy.

I’ve managed a pet-sitting business in NYC (2007-2010), fostered shelter dogs, and cared for pets of all ages, including senior animals and those needing specialized diets or medication (even insulin injections).

I am happiest creating witty, whimsical creatures in watercolor and acrylic paint for fun and to put on products. Since I work remotely, I can give the pets I'm caring for lots of love and attention all day long.

Making art in the company of adorable floofs is my passion and life purpose!
